Your child has taken home login details for Bug Club - the online reading platform we use in school. Your child can read at home on Bug Club using a phone, tablet, laptop or computer. If you need your child's login details again, please send Miss Palmer-Wood a message on Seesaw. You can help your child by reading with them at least 3 times a week. Miss Palmer-Wood will check Bug Club to ensure every child has books to read.
Homework will be sent on seesaw every Friday Your child will have the option to complete it directly onto seesaw or on paper and take a photo to put on seesaw. To login to seesaw your child has been given a 12 letter code and this was sent home to all parents in September. If you need your child's code again, please send Miss Palmer-Wood a message on seesaw Family.

Our topic this term is Superheroes!
Pupils will learn and develop a range of skills within this context including how to sound out and spell key words; write descriptive sentences; use capital letters and full stops; using watercolours to paint pictures; stay safe on-line; and use our mental maths skills to practice adding and taking away.
This term we will be learning about 2D/3D shapes and talking about their properties.
Please help your child to practice writing their numbers all the way up to 50 and then up to 100. We are trying to focus upon writing numbers the correct way around.
We will be adding numbers together up to 20/50/100, and learning to take away numbers within 20/50/100.
We will be looking for patterns in shape, colour and number this term.
We will be using our targets in our writing and learning to sound out our words in our written work. We will also be learning to use a capital letter and a fullstop in our writing. Please help your child to write at home, ideas can include shopping lists, stories and writing cards to people.
We will be working very hard on reading and spelling our high frequency words. Please help your child to practice daily. All children have new books on Bug Club and will be sent home the login details in their green homework books, please ask if you need any help with Bug Club.
All children are now able to change their reading book daily, please ensure that you keep a record in your child's yellow book.
Thank so much for visiting our Class page. We are excited to share this year with you and are always here for you and your children.
