'Be Hardworking, Be Respectful, Be Responsible’

School Council Ambassadors

Welcome to the School Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

A school council helps the whole school by providing opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings to teachers and each other as well as have a say in decisions that are made.

Trelai School Council are busy all year round with weekly meetings, organising events and fund raising activities such as discos, raffles and sponsored events.

Each class has a school council representative who has been elected by members of their class. They have have an important job to do! They meet every 3 weeks. One of the most important jobs that they do is to bring questions from their classes to the meetings. They also feed back to their classes after each meeting.

Trelai had great fun raising money for children in need this year. School council lead a range of 'spotactular' challenges across the school and everyone dressed in the spotty theme.

We raised an AMAZING £274  Diolch yn fawr pawb!

Remembrance Day

Year 6 and school council lead a school assembly to remind us all about the importance and meaning of Remembrance day.

The school showed our respect by taking part in a minutes silence. Each class completed activities to help us learn more.

Christmas Jumper Day - Save the children

Christmas Jumper Day is Save the Children's annual event which raises money for children in the UK and across the world.  Trelai took part on December 8th by wearing our most festive outfits. School council encouraged everyone to take part and donate if the could and reminded everyone that a homemade jumper was a great way of joining in.

We raised an amazing £113.77 - diolch pawb!
