Welcome to Class Cherry's page. We have an exciting term ahead of us with many great opportunities in our Year 4 class with Mrs Colman and her team of learners. Here are pictures of some of her learners.
Our topic work this term is 'Children of the Revolution'. We have been set the challenge of becoming History Hunters.
We have begun to ask many questions, like:
During the term, we'll be looking at old photographs and using them as clues to uncover the past. Here are some we've already been investigating:
Keep checking this page over the next few weeks to see what we've discovered on our History Hunter expedition!
How much do you know about yoru body? In science, we’ve been enjoying finding out about our amazing senses and body organs.
Did you know...?
Over the next few weeks we are going to be looking at X-ray pictures, finding out how to keep ourselves healthy and what can damage our bodies. Please ask us what we’ve been learning.
We’ve been playing some fun-filed games like ‘Ping-pong’, and ‘Countdown’ to help us learn our 4x and 6x tables. We need to know our 3, 4, 5 and 6 times tables as fast as we know our own names. We’re getting there – please challenge us on these tables! When we’ve got that sorted, we’ll need to know our 8x table, too! Here is the countdown timer to use. I wonder if we can improve our scores?
We have been set the challenge of writing exciting non-chronological reports. We’re using our ‘Talk 4 Writing’ to help us learn how to organise our work and the kind of words that we can use to make our reports really interesting for our readers.
